RoPD®

Electric Vehicles (LEV) including e-bikes, e-scooters and pedelecs as well as for UGVs and drones. Providing fast and reliable magnetic connection, these are particularly suited to data communication and power transmission of voltages up to 60 V and current loads up to 40 A. The magnetic locking and precision self-mating capability prevents any accidental or forced disconnection from damaging the connector or the LEV. Furthermore, the high tolerance pin and socket design permits a large number of mating cycles. The RoPD® connection system is ideal for many LEV connection applications – including battery changing and charging – where frequent connection and disconnection is required. The four data contacts and two power transmission pins make a hot-plug capability unnecessary as the data contacts activate the power following connection. For added flexibility the data contacts can be used as a BUS system with an additional supply voltage. Versions of the RoPD® system are also available for EnergyBus applications.

Rosenberger’s new EBC® (Efficient Board Connector) series is the ideal 5G board-to-board and board-to-module RF interconnect solution for active MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas and radios. Outstanding performance, low cost design and high mechanical stability make EBC® the perfect future-proof product for 5G radio interconnections. For applications up to 8 GHz, EBC® connectors fulfill the challenging requirements caused by the exponential data volumes increases in future 5G networks. Essential characteristics include extremely small dimensions, radial and axial misalignments, different holding forces, minimum board-to-board distances, and fast and cost-effective assembly design. A key mechanical design feature is the locating side which is integrated in the bullet. One side has a smooth bore, while the other has a limited-detent design. The single PCB coupler provides a consistent footprint with preloaded outer contacts for ensuring contact optimization, the push/snap-on locking mechanism allows fast and easy disconnection.

Rosenberger TNC* coaxial connectors are based on BNC connector characteristics and interface dimensions. However, the screw-on locking mechanism enables reliable, quick and easy interconnection while also allowing their use under higher environmental loads compared to BNC connectors. The Rosenberger HVR®300 connector system not only provides a maximum current carrying capacity of 320 A, it takes up minimal space. It features a 2-pole angled coupler for shielded cables and a cable cross section of 70 mm² along with the corresponding header. A cross section of 50 mm² is available on request. The lever locking mechanism is secured with an additional slider (CPA – Connector Position Assurance) to prevent accidental unmating.
