The AQ2200-651 Signal Generator module reduces the complexity and cost of 10G optical transceiver testing by combining Signal Generation functions into the same mainframe that provides bus and power control while performing BERT and Optical testing. This allows a single programming interface to control all aspects of the transceiver test, simplifying test setup, decreasing test time and increasing productivity. The wiring complexity and test bench size are reduced by replacing up to 5 Signal Generators with a single module.

Today’s splicing equipment is fast, efficient, and requires minimal maintenance due to advances in splicing technology. This contamination will offset the fibers and degrade performance. Thorough cleaning of a fusion splicer’s optical elements and alignment V-grooves is critical to ensure successful trouble-free splicing operations. CS-1 Cotton Swabs are especially useful for such cleaning operations. The small size of the CS-1 swabs ensures accessibility in tight places and will not leach out chemicals or lint and contaminate optical elements.

The 8-fiber design reduces costs by making optimum use of all the fibers. PreCONNECT® OCTO is backwards-compatible and can be integrated in existing network structures with duplex technology by means of MTP® harnesses. The elimination of unnecessary interfaces and module cassettes also helps cut costs and reduces channel attenuation. The PreCONNECT® OCTO cabling system enables the optimization of the data transfer in network structures.
