AFL’s LZM-100 LAZERMaster is a glass processing and splicing system that uses a CO2 laser heat source rather than electrodes, ensuring repeatable performance and low maintenance, and eliminating electrode or filament maintenance and instability. Splicing or adiabatic tapering (to create mode field adapters or pump combiners) can be performed with glass diameters of 2.3 mm or less. The high resolution optical analysis system works in conjunction with on-board firmware for fully automatic splicing, tapering and other glass shaping processes.
Kimwipes are specially designed paper fiber optic cleaning wipes which can be used for cleaning laboratory equipment and instruments, camera lens, fiber optic connectors and other electronic items. These delicate task wipes have been specially designed for cleaning those surfaces where the presence of minimal lint or dust can interfere with the normal functioning of the equipment or electronic item. Kimwipes are extremely useful wherein even the slightest contamination introduced by a cleaning medium like cloth or tissue paper can lead to serious errors or abrasion to the equipment. Kimwipes are an ideal cleaning solution for laboratories and manufacturing facilities.
Kimwipes have a high tensile strength which reduces tearing during cleaning yet are soft and non-abrasive. These wipes are also highly absorbent allowing them to be used for wet cleaning of fiber optic connectors with the FCC2 Fiber Optic Cleaning Fluid or as a dry cleaning solution. Use Kimwipes with the FPF1 Fiber Preparation Fluid for cleaning fibers before fusion splicing and terminating connectors.
Rosenberger snap-in Mini-Coax inserts for Metral-chassis card edge connections offer modular high packing densities due to their extremely small size. As well as Multiport Mini-Coax are available in multiple 2, 4, 6 and 8 channel variants. Further benefits include fast, reliable connection, high data transmission rates, and superior electrical and mechanical stability.
Rosenberger HVR®50 connectors are available in straight and angled variants. The additional slide locking mechanism (CPA – Connector Position Assurance) prevents accidental disconnection. Despite their small size these connectors achieve a current capacity of approximately 60 A at 85 °C. HVR®50 connectors are mainly used in ancillary units such as electrical heating systems, air-conditioning units, DC/DC converters, and for charging batteries.
