Rosenberger’s new EBC® (Efficient Board Connector) series is the ideal 5G board-to-board and board-to-module RF interconnect solution for active MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas and radios. Outstanding performance, low cost design and high mechanical stability make EBC® the perfect future-proof product for 5G radio interconnections. For applications up to 8 GHz, EBC® connectors fulfill the challenging requirements caused by the exponential data volumes increases in future 5G networks. Essential characteristics include extremely small dimensions, radial and axial misalignments, different holding forces, minimum board-to-board distances, and fast and cost-effective assembly design. A key mechanical design feature is the locating side which is integrated in the bullet. One side has a smooth bore, while the other has a limited-detent design. The single PCB coupler provides a consistent footprint with preloaded outer contacts for ensuring contact optimization, the push/snap-on locking mechanism allows fast and easy disconnection.

Rosenberger provides a variety of snap-in D-Sub coaxial and power inserts for fast, reliable mixed card edge chassis. Their small dimensions allow high packing densities as well as easy connection. A combination including power connectors is also available on request. D-Sub Coax Inserts and cable connectors 50 Ω are designed for use in mixed card edge connections in accordance to D-Sub. The maximum frequency is approximately 2 GHz. Available on request. Power Inserts meet the requirements of DIN 41626-T1 and are designed for use in mixed card edge connections in accordance to DIN 41612 or D-Sub. Contact current 10 A, 20 A, 30 A, 40 A. Rosenberger SnapN coaxial connectors are ideal for space-constrained mobile base station applications up to 11 GHz. The outer diameter of 16 mm – smaller than the standard N interface – allows higher packing densities while the special quick-lock mechanism enables reliable and easy connections – 10 times faster than Standard N. SnapN jacks (female) and Standard N plugs (male) are intermateable. Assembly tools are not necessary.

Rosenberger provides a wide product range of solderless PCB connectors for challenging test & measure­ment demands and for frequencies up to 110 GHz. These PCB connectors can easily be assembled by using screws. Standard screws are included, optional screws for thicker PCBs are available on request.
