Optical Fiber in a Steel Tube

Ribbon Optical fibers are protected inside the slots. The cable core is water proof and protected by outer sheath. Suitable for high fiber count duct applications. Dry core design ensure easy and fast installation.

This type of optical cable is aimed to be used for voice, data, broadband and CATV transmission in Long Distance, Backbone and Local Area Networks with Underwater installation method for Swamp, Lake and River Crossings.

Optical fibers are protected in loose tubes filled with Thixotropic jelly. These loose tubes are stranded around a central strength member. The cable core is water proof with water blocking compound. The cable portion is attached integrally with stranded steel messenger wires. Suitable for Aerial installation except on power lines.
