Floating Test Adaptors

Rosenberger has introduced the P-SMP series of Power/RF coaxial connectors, combining all the space saving advantages of SMP connectors with the high performance of SMA connectors. Unlike SMA and QMA solutions, minimum board-to-board distances of 12.6 mm can be realized by using bullets in different lengths. Furthermore, P-SMP connectors are designed for high power loads, up to 200 W @ 2.2 GHz continuous power, and can handle high frequencies up to 10 GHz. Typical applications therefore include board-to-board connections in base stations or board-to-cable connections in power amplifier filter units.

Rosenberger RPC-7 “hermaphroditic” connectors with 7 mm diameter at outer contact are designed for precision measurements up to 18 GHz and are suitable for semi-rigid cables and microwave components. Mating electrically with center and outer conductor by end-surface (butt) contact, the mechanical connection is designed as a counter-sinkable threaded socket. For total flexibility, these low reflection connectors are intermateable with all common 7 mm series connectors including APC-7, PC-7, GPC-7 or Precifix AA. Furthermore, RPC-7 and RPC-N connector heads are interchangeable using the same bead type. The wide product range comprises connectors and connector heads, adaptors, interchangeable port connectors, airlines as well as test & measurement accessories such as RPC-7 calibration and verification kits, test cables, attenuators or measurement equipment (open – short – load).

Rosenberger MagCode® PowerSystem and MagCode® PowerSystemPro ensure safe and reliable magnetic connection to 12V and 24V external power sources. This includes ‘cigarette lighter’ receptacles commonly found on many vehicles such as cars, trucks, vans and campers as well as motorcycles and boats.

3M™ Expanded Beam Optical (EBO) Latch Connector for PreCONNECT® solutions The best of both worlds: Singlemode and expanded beam connectors Reliable connectors that can be repeatedly plugged in and unplugged while still maintaining constant performance over all fibers – that is what 3M™ EBO has to offer. The innovative yet extremely simple structure of this expanded beam plug connector permits repeated plugging and unplugging with no loss of performance and no need to clean the end faces. What is more, it is all but insensitive to vibrations and dust. Because the end faces of the fibers do not physically touch one another, the risk of chipping, scratches and damage is eliminated, while simultaneously guaranteeing outstanding IL and RL performance. In contrast to earlier expanded beam methods, the 3M™ EBO Expanded Beam Latch connector uses a new mirror reflex collimation lens in order to expand the light path and overcome the effect of surface particles on the IL and RL performance. Tiny deviations in the fiber alignment in plug connections (lateral offset) are all but eliminated. This new technology, which has been patented by 3M™, not only permits multimode applications but also makes it possible to use the expanded beam for singlemode applications – something that was not possible in the past, in particular in the case of multiple fibers.
