TNC 50 ? / 75 ?
Product code 6L2GTQ
Rosenberger TNC* coaxial connectors are based on BNC connector characteristics and interface dimensions. However, the screw-on locking mechanism enables reliable, quick and easy interconnection while also allowing their use under higher environmental loads compared to BNC connectors. They are designed for application in various industries including aerospace, telecom and mobile applications. 50 Ω versions up to maximum 10 GHz available 75 Ω versions up to maximum 4 GHz available on request Due to the internationally standardized TNC interface dimensions a perfect 75 Ohm characteristic impedance cannot be realized *TNC = Threaded Neill Concelman / Thread Navy Connector
Features
- Impedance 50 Ω
- Impedance 75 Ω
- Mating cycles ≥ 500
- Threaded / Screw-on locking mechanism

1.6-5.6 connectors perform at 75 Ohm up to 4/12 GHz and are characterized by high mechanical and electrical stability. They are mainly used for reliable transmission of high bit-rates. IInd and IIIrd generation 1.6-5.6 connectors are intermateable and feature different coupling mechanisms for allowing male types to be connected to all female types. The screw-on coupling version provides positive, familiar mating, while the quick-lock/push-pull coupling version enables quick installation. This series complies with CECC 22240 standards.

Rosenberger Mini-SMP connectors are extremely small coaxial connectors, approximately 70% of standard SMP size. They are designed for applications up to 65 GHz and mainly for high-speed signal transmission (typically 10 or 40 Gbps). Plugs are available as smooth bore-versions – for plug-in technology and backplane applications – and as vibration resistant full detent types, for the highest mechanical loads such as those found in aerospace engineering. Mini-SMP subminiature connectors are well-proven, offering a high level of flexibility in alignment tolerances and for simplifying the whole production process. Rosenberger Mini-SMP coaxial connectors are mateable with common Mini-SMP connectors as specified by MIL-STD-348A, Fig. 328, as well as GPPO™ (Gilbert Engineering Co., Inc.) and SSMP™ (Carlisle Interconnect Technologies) series. The PCB connectors are supplied in tape and reel packaging for automatic assembly to boards and also in blisters.

Constantly increasing bandwidth requirements in all areas of communication and computing are placing ever greater demands on networking I/O equipment. Current edge-mount copper or fiber interfaces are at their limits even over the short distances on the PCB. Embedded parallel optics have become the solution of choice to meet these demands. High-performance routers, switches and computers have already been utilizing this technology for a decade. Parallel optic solutions are currently used in a wide range of applications: in links between nodes of supercomputers, switches in international Internet gateways as well as in data centers and central offices. Embedded opto-electrical modules and optical engines utilize parallel-optics transmitter and receiver arrays. For optimum signal integrity, thermal management, I/O consolidation and EMI/ESD, the opto-electrical modules are directly mounted close to the processors at the PCB. Parallel-optic links can complement electronic signalling in parallel lanes such as XAUI and PCIe. Using PRIZM® Light Turn®, it is possible to implement a passive plug connection between the opto-electrical modules and the fiber optic network.
