Rosenberger’s new EBC® (Efficient Board Connector) series is the ideal 5G board-to-board and board-to-module RF interconnect solution for active MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas and radios. Outstanding performance, low cost design and high mechanical stability make EBC® the perfect future-proof product for 5G radio interconnections. For applications up to 8 GHz, EBC® connectors fulfill the challenging requirements caused by the exponential data volumes increases in future 5G networks. Essential characteristics include extremely small dimensions, radial and axial misalignments, different holding forces, minimum board-to-board distances, and fast and cost-effective assembly design. A key mechanical design feature is the locating side which is integrated in the bullet. One side has a smooth bore, while the other has a limited-detent design. The single PCB coupler provides a consistent footprint with preloaded outer contacts for ensuring contact optimization, the push/snap-on locking mechanism allows fast and easy disconnection.

Rosenberger provides a wide range of compact calibration kits in various series for MSOT (4-in-1) and MSO (3-in-1) calibrations. Compact calibration kits combine all necessary calibration standards in one unit and can be applied for MSO calibrations (3-in-1, open, short, load) of single port vector network analyzers and MSOT calibrations (4-in-1, open, short, load, thru) of 2- or more-port vector network analyzers. All compact calibration kits come in a hardshell case with a lanyard and with general coefficients on a standard definition card.

Rosenberger supplies massive MIMO, beam-forming, small cells, and twin-beam antenna solutions for 5G applications. Massive MIMO antennas operate in B40 (2,300 MHz), B41 (2,500 MHz) and B42/43 (3,500 MHz). Rosenberger has partnered with two key OEM suppliers to develop 5G massive MIMO AASs in more than 10 projects, and it is also the preferred partner for one of the OEM main suppliers of 5G antenna designs.

The range includes ultra-low loss cables for antennas or applications with high power requirements; miniature cables for test systems or applications demanding high flexibility; indoor and outdoor cables; specially shielded cables and extremely phase stable cables for test & measurement applications. In defined lengths armoured RFlex™ cables are also available. Customer-specific assemblies and solutions can be ordered on request.
