HTS-12 is designed for stripping single count of silica optical fiber by keeping the stripped fiber's glass surface free from any physical contact. In order to achieve the above condition, the HTS-12 has a precise linear slide base for stripping action. The fiber is not scuffed by the blade or any other materials when being stripped. The HTS-12 is equipped with a heater to soften the fiber coating. The HTS-12 accepts the FH-40 series and FH-100 series Fiber Holder System

AFL’s PowerCleave combines the precision of an ultrasonic cleaver with the ease and improved fiber management of the Fujikura fiber holder system. The PowerCleave™ utilizes the tensile stress method to avoid touching or damaging the bare glass surface during cleaving, ensuring highly robust, reliable and durable splice results. The PowerCleave provides consistent flat ends even at cleave lengths as short as 3 mm. Specially designed for use with Fujikura’s specialty market splicers, this advanced cleaving system allows for more reliability and greater splicing consistency with less dependence on operator technique.

The CleaveMeter 3DTM is a phase-shifting Michelson interferometer for non-contact end-face inspection of cleaved and polished optical fibers with cladding diameters up to 1200 μm. Designed for both production and research applications, this comprehensive fiber optic testing system combines full resolution, three-dimensional surface topography reconstruction and mapping with automated, operator independent measurements of cleave angle and surface flatness in a small, lightweight benchtop unit.

Nyfors product. The AutoCleaver S1™ senses the edge of the coating to automatically adjust the bare fiber length after cleaving. This feature is valuable when a specific and accurate bare fiber length is required. The requested bare fiber length is specified by the customer at order and can be fine tuned by software between 0 and 500 μm.
