Single-sided pre-assembled LAN cabling system

1.0-2.3 (DIN 47297) connectors perform at 50 Ohm up to 10 GHz and are characterized by high mechanical and electrical stability. They are 40 % smaller than the 1.6-5.6 series. The connectors offer various coupling mechanisms where male types can be connected with any female type. The quick-lock/push-pull locking/coupling version allows quick installation. This series complies with CECC 22230 and DIN 47297.

Rosenberger SnapN coaxial connectors are ideal for space-constrained mobile base station applications up to 11 GHz. The outer diameter of 16 mm – smaller than the standard N interface – allows higher packing densities while the special quick-lock mechanism enables reliable and easy connections – 10 times faster than Standard N. SnapN jacks (female) and Standard N plugs (male) are intermateable. Assembly tools are not necessary.

The innovative yet extremely simple structure of this expanded beam plug connector permits repeated plugging and unplugging with no loss of performance and no need to clean the end faces. What is more, it is all but insensitive to vibrations and dust. Because the end faces of the fibers do not physically touch one another, the risk of chipping, scratches and damage is eliminated, while simultaneously guaranteeing outstanding IL and RL performance. In contrast to earlier expanded beam methods, the 3M™ EBO Expanded Beam Latch connector uses a new mirror reflex collimation lens in order to expand the light path and overcome the effect of surface particles on the IL and RL performance. Tiny deviations in the fiber alignment in plug connections (lateral offset) are all but eliminated. This new technology, which has been patented by 3M™, not only permits multimode applications but also makes it possible to use the expanded beam for singlemode applications – something that was not possible in the past, in particular in the case of multiple fibers.
